My gawd I can't wait to see this movie...pay attention to the little details...from nails, to location, and clothes. Fab!!!

Why Did I Get Married Too?

I loved Why Did I Get Married? by Tyler Perry...not only did it hit home relationship wise...it was actually a good film. Now part 2 looks even more interesting! Can't wait for this to hit theatres.

Marc Jacobs x Louis Vuitton

After watching this documentary on Marc Jacobs working with Louis Vuitton, and prepping for one of his own fashion shows...I think I fell in love with him and the legendary LV brand even more. I not only got to see the mad scientist Marc Jacobs, in action...but this movie was sort of a guide into his head. You were able to understand the quirkiness and brilliance that went into any Louis bag he designed. I think it was bright and comical, much different from the Valentino documentary, which was more glam. But nevertheless...it was Marc, and I love him.

You got the Juice!

I had to be like 10 or 11 years old when this came out, but nevertheless, its a classic in my eyes. I am watching it as I type this post. Juice was on point music, and fashion wise. The acting in it wasn't bad either. I think we all had the biggest crush on Omar Epps. And for some reason you believed Tupac was that crazy. Let me get back to watching...

Do you Hav Plenty?

Nothing to do on a Saturday night? I suggest renting this movie. Hav Plenty is an independent film that came out in '97. This was a time when I was very interested in black independent films, because youngins, there was a time when these films were actually good. I am a sucker for romantic comedies...to me, everything in life has humor to it.




This bittersweet romantic comedy tosses a few screwball comedics into the path to true love. Impoverished, would-be novelist Lee Plenty (Christopher Scott Cherot) lives off his pals while hoping to score big some day soon. Then wealthy, beautiful Havilland Savage (Chenoa Maxwell) invites him to Washington, D.C., for a quiet New Year's Eve party at her affluent family's home -- where Lee becomes the focus of attention from every woman on the premises. Hav's grandmother (Betty Vaughn), however, foresees that Hav and Lee were destined for each other. Other stars include Nia Long, Hill Harper, Lauryn Hill, Chili and more.

We Gotta Have It on DVD!!

The 1986 Spike Lee Film, She's Gotta Have It, has finally been released on DVD to add to all you bad bitches movie collection. Nola Darling is a twentysomething Brooklynite, that emabarks on her sexual independence, and pursues three men, who in return are feeling more for her, then she is for them. Each man is different, and she is attracted to the best in each one. But Nola doesn't want to get serious with either. I love it! Sounds like my life right now.....Ladies I urge you to check out this film, the story is as relevant as it is today then it was over twenty years ago.
