Suck on my designer lollipop!

I had been seeing celebs in photos, sucking on lollipops with jeweled encrusted sticks and wondering where they were getting these good looking treats. Well luckily I perfected the art of snooping thanks to ex male friends, I found out that they are produced at the Sugar Factory. This sweet place is only an online store for now, but they have plans to do a big glamourous opening in LA, next to Graumans Chinese Theatre, right on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. Dope, right? Their "Couture Lollipops" have been sucked on by The Pussycat Dolls, Britney Spears, and Kim Kardashian. All of those ladies have signature lollipops. Since I am getting so tired of drinking at my parties, I thought it would be cool to have a couture pop to match my outfit. The good thing about these suckers is they offer refills, so you never have to toss that pretty stick. Man, fuck a basic blow pop!

I had to be like 10 or 11 years old when this came out, but nevertheless, its a classic in my eyes. I am watching it as I type this post. Juice was on point music, and fashion wise. The acting in it wasn't bad either. I think we all had the biggest crush on Omar Epps. And for some reason you believed Tupac was that crazy. Let me get back to watching...

I love Keri Hilson and how she tends to go for a masculine look, while her girliness still remains. I really like this look for fall. The boots are too hot! And the tweed blazer ties the whole look together. Dope.

The Bald & the Beautiful

Its hitting womens heads like the plague...the clippers!!! But for real, its kinda dope. Yes this has been going on since the end of time, dating back to our African ancestors, the 70s and 80s. So why are folks tripping now when a young woman wants to shave her head? Kelis, Cassie, Lala, Raven Symone, Nina Sky, and more recently Solange, have all went snip, snip...snip. One of my girlfriends shaved her head...and has been getting mixed responses. She even said some of her co workers have went as far as calling her gay. I feel its the rebirth of the neo beauty movement. If it looks good on you, rock it. Alot of women keep hair on their head for a man or whatever may have you. Fuck that. Hair is expression...so gone girl, Express yourself!

I am not the biggest Chuck fan. I own three pair, and I rarely wear them. But I love dope shit...so that always overrule. This month Converse will be releasing the Metallica All-Star Chucks. There will be a series of four. My favs are the all black with the blue Metallica logo, posted below. With the way things are going fashion wise for Fall '09, these wil be good to have in the shoe collection.

I knew today was gonna be a blah day just from me being woke so early in the morning. I am stuck in a rut and am having feelings of emptiness. My period is on its way out the door, so I can't blame it on that...I dunno. I just wanna throw the covers over my head and stick my thumb in my mouth. I am so used to giving out advice, that I now need a little given back. Hopefully things will lift up....yeaaaaahh.

Early Earthling...

I am woke and its 5:30am. So many things running through my head...should I go for a light jog...should I get some soy milk for my Cookie Crisp...should I masterbate...should I call my "friend", argue with him because I am being paranoid...I don't know. I am tweeting and now on my laptop in bed. Ugh. The worst. Next time I need to be more prepared for this shit.

Digging up Bones...

Ebony Bones is a singer-songwriter from London and this chick is dope. I have known about her for about a year now and "Don't Fart On My Heart" is currently in the Blackberry.Critics compare her outrageous style to Grace Jones, and her music is well...lets say, like no other. Its unexplainable like herself...a mixture of punk, electro, and so much more. She is now making her rounds in the US, and is coming to Chicago this weekend. I am super stoked and ready to see her awesomeness live. Hopefully I will get pics to post up...this should be interesting.

I have tried to avoid liking this style of shoe...every since my girl rocked a pair of vintage tap shoes at the beach last year. Lmao! I was too through. But, I visited the Steve Madden website...and gosh darnit...fell in love with a male oxford styled pair. On top of that, it came in a couple of my favorite colorways. So yes, I will be copping a pair this fall to rock with my bowties, cardigans, and whatever else I can pull together to complete the look. Straight up Janelle Monae.

Its just lotion!!!

I ran up on this item while in Saks. And even though I am not a big Kiehls fan(moreso Johnson & Johnson), I thought the woman behind the product was dope. Erykah Badu, along with a few other artists have done an limited edition lotion with Kiehls. Proceeds go to the Waterkeeper Alliance, a group that believes in providing youth with access to safe drinking water. Dope, right? Along with that, the lotion have ingriediants such as argan Oil, squalane, and vitamin E. All good for restoring your skins moisture, appearance and texture....which I am all for! I will be grabbing me a bottle asap.

I might have blogged about her before...but after seeing a show called Unsung on TVONE about singer Minnie Ripertons life...my love I already had for this late artist, grew more. It was beautifully documented, and I began to search online to hear more of her work. I found gems that were undiscovered, but definitely inspiring. Especially music from her first two albums, Come to my garden and Perfect Angel. Her voice is so pretty. Its very sensual, sweet, yet sexy and girly.
