.....
As I sit here drinking champagne straight from the bottle, listening to some new J. Davey, watching Stepbrothers on mute...I reflect on parts of the year...things I want to change, how I want to be perceived as a human being...should I masturbate or not in the next 10 min. I will say this...what a rough year it has been. Not only have I moved like a Robocop...but I have been mad lazy. Yes, I admit it. I sorta jumped out my body to do some other work. Nothing beneficial to me. I found my purpose in life in '05...to inspire. Now I am trying to find the best ways to use this super power. My horoscope outlook for Scorpio said I would be going through good changes in my career and love life. Boy do I need those changes!! Single for three years...but a drama filled single life. Career has been all about finding myself in what I am doing. Its so funny. I look at pics of myself from '07, '08...and I look happy...stressed...but there was an innocent glow. I want that back. I need that back. And I will not let anyone steal that from me. At least not in 2010. My astrology sign is known to transform...and I am so ready to do just this...TRANSFORM. I only ask that when I do transform...I can turn blue. Anyhoo...I think its cliche to say pray for me...so I will say...stay tuned. : )

Let it snow!
Ladies, ladies, ladies. Don't ever let the winter make you think that you have to dress like a big ass snowman. You can still be dope but warm. Here are a few pics of my fav snowboots out right now that will keep you looking fab for the weather.
These come up further on the leg and gives you the snow bunny look. Northface defintely keeps you warm too.
Although these snow boots run in kid sizes...if you have a small foot, a 6 or 7 will do for someone that wears a 8 or 9 in womens. The detachable flannel insole warms the toesies...and you can't go wrong with a lil RL.
I think that these boots by Lacoste are fun and adorable! They add color to all the blacks and greys we see in the winter.
If you are like me and like the way your boyfriend/pseudo boo dress...or hell, any man, then these ultra warm Northface boots will do. They add height, and will look good with a flannel.
**All of the shoes I mention are under $125, and will last you through a few winters. Grab some soon before the snow starts sticking!

How I feel about HIM right now...
HIM could be anybody... ; )
Polly wants a cracker!
I am such a fucking weirdo...but I don't care...I love these boots by Irregular Choice. You can find them at one of my fav stores, Akira.
Stomp the yard
Tough and girly is a one great duo...and I take to this look. I thought I was finish after I got my biker boots, as far as finding a dope shoe for the fall...but nope, spotted another style of boot that I had been looking for. Steve Madden carries the Corley boot...and its hot. It can be paired with almost anything to toughen up your look. Will be copping them asap.
Darling Nikki aka Nicole
I love a dope chick. Something about a bad, boss bitch is very intriguing. I always thought the chicks from Nina Sky were awesome. They are the epitome of a NY girl to me. One of the twins, Nicole, happens to dj...and she is very talented. Her style is also very dope. I got a chance to see her do her thing a year and a half ago at my third home, Funky Buddha. And let me tell you...she had every guy in there staring in amazement. "Thats a chick?" Props are definitely due.

Dress me up
I have always liked dresses and skirts every since I wore a pretty Fucshia dress for picture day in 1st Grade. I never wanted to take it off, and felt like a glamourous princess. Fast foward to today...I feel the same way. Nothing says woman like a hot dress. I am starting to collect dresses too. Its a part of my wardrobe I would like to save, just in case I have a niece or adopt a daughter. You have holiday parties and NYE is almost here, so I found a few dresses that I thought would do the job for such events.
This lacey piece is from BeBe, and its screams sexy, mysterious, and goth. The back is just pure lace detail. Lots of skin will be shown, but it still leaves alot to the imagination.
If you are ahead of your time, I suggest this dress from Akira. The material is very body conscious, and creates a great silhouette. Very back to the future, indeed.
Sequins is big this season. Now you just have to figure out the right way to wear them. Nothing brightens up a party more than this blue sequin number from French Connection. How you doing?
French Connection has the hottest dresses...with that being said, here is an adorable yellow sweetheart strapless. This would look great on very dark tones or light. Its sexy, safe, and very fashionable.
Gone are the days of wearing red and black to holiday parties. So this dress is perfect for proving that point. This Elizabeth & James shify dress is a mix of boho glam. A hot shoe would make this pop beyond belief. You can find this at Intermix or Cusp.
Wishing the girlies a happy dress hunting!

Way of living
This serves as inspiration to me...hope you can take from it too.
What you know about the running, the stretching
The cars, the weapons
The path, the journey
The jewels, the learning
The fear, the focus
The aches, the pains
The contact sparrin', the breaks, the sprains
The trial and error, the ranks, and belts
The spiritual growth, the science of breath
The tests, the techniques
The forms, the stances
The flow, the rhythm, the internal answers
The herbs, the healing, the quiet meditation
The truths reveal through daily dedication
The love for the art, the sweat on your shirt
The mind, the body, and the spirit that work
The feelings of failure, the hope to succeed
The battles of questions like "Should I smoke weed?"
The water, the thirst
The cleansing, the blessings
The flash of insights, the teachings, the lessons
The grappling and locking, trapping and boxing
The training and slacking
The starting and stopping
And stayin' committed, when your homies ain't with it
The hours or practice after the class is finished
The cause of your ignorance, flaws in your discipline
Broken laws of nutrition, and pork and dishin'
The vitamins and supplements
Salads and ointments
The kingships, pull joints in doctor appointments
The dues, the pads, the wraps, the gloves
The mouthpiece you left home, the taste of your own blood
The hunger, the blocks
The punches, the squats
The crunches, the example you set for the youngsters
The will, the skills, the kill or the hill
The separation between what's fake and what's real
The laws of physics, The class "comradery"
The vows of humility, the bow, the courtesy.

The Hawk
I have actually worn the Mohawk style for about 5 years. When my hair was natural, and later on when I got it cut. It has been seen as trendy more recently, but I can honestly say...its a normal style now. The 'hawk goes back years with Mr. T rocking it in the 80s to before then and is deemed a "rebel" style, which is why I always loved it so much. Whats so good, is that its been flipped so many times. You can see all versions of it done differently. Many will argue that since its trendy, its considered wack. I actually find the beauty in it, if its done right and healthy. I am back to my hair being in this style, and I love it. The complements keep me inspired and continuing to wear it like it is. I posted some pics of where I would like to take it. Enjoy.

Tinted Windows...
Cheetah Girl
Ants in my pants!
LA based Grey Ant has came out with some dope sunglasses that have been see on folks like Beyonce and Pete Wentz. Now one of my fav stores, Akira, is carrying them. They are everyday wearable and chic. Gotta cop a pair asap.
Friggin' Adorable
Ok...I am a girl. So I do like some of the corny aspects of love...like matching outfits when going to Great America. Sike. Thats so '92. More like complementing either others styles. This pic of Kamber and their matching Jordan 3s has been floating around the internet. And I can't help but to dig it. I dug it so much, that an offer came up for me to get a pair of the highly anticipated Space Jam Jordans. May have to consider it.

Who do you love?
I was reintroduced to this song by a DJ friend...and fell in love with it all over again. Benard Wright "Who do you love" is an 80s classic. Such a classic that it was remade by a few artists. The video is cute and fun. And I loved Benards style in it. Enjoy!

90s and beyond
My So-Called Life was before its time. Gay teens, pregnancy, teenage sex, depression...this show had it all. Fuck a Degrassi High. The fashion was so different incorporating grunge and more in each episode. Fast foward to today...and its still current. I have been slowly transitioning into the whole look for the fall/winter...with layers, mix matching patterns and colors. And will continue through the spring with updated versions of the baby doll dress and florals. This look is for all the bohemian/rock star girls at heart.

Tied up
I am really fascinated with bondage artwork. I think its beautiful. Especially in black and white. Its also fashionable, especially this season. Shoes, bags, jackets...all with buckles, belts, spikes, and zipper detailing. I guess its just the Scorpio in me that clings to all things sexy.

Cold Blooded
Just because the warm temps aren't here anymore, doesn't necessarily mean fashion has to end. Looking good and staying dope in cold weather isn't hard. And yes you can step outside the typical sweater/boot combo. I found a few picks that I am intrigued by on the Arden B. site. These are great partying pieces, that can be worn over and changed up with other things in your closet.
These are satin jeans. Shiny without being cheesy. Good for a holiday party, or the club. Definitely tone it down with a basic top. Hopefully its cotton, or a sheer material.
This latex catsuit reminds me of Amber Rose or Rihanna. They would so rock it. I think its hot, and definitely risky. Pair with a hot boot or sandal, and you are leaving with a Blackberry full of numbers. You can also tone it down with a rocker studded flat boot, and long cardigan.
I love this floral skirt. Be brave and a rebel, with a Dr. Marten, or a military boot. A cropped cardigan and band tee underneath would go perfectly with this look.
Last but not least, I know we are tired of the lame inspired pieces. But now the material has changed, and its sexy latex. This gold skirt is so forward, yet Studio 54ish to me. I can picture the top being a plain white tank, or shoulder padded cream blouse. It screams New Years Eve or Saturday night out on the town.

Wednesday Nights in the 'Go
NBC Chicago happened to be out and about last Wednesday...you can catch me dancing my life away toward the end of this video at jbar. Enjoy.
Out and about in the 'Go
I tend to go out more in the fall/winter months. Maybe cause I was born in November. The city tends to have dope fashion inspired events through these months too. So I posted a few pics of me at a couple of events. Enjoy me being vain for the moment.

Writing on the walls with Rachel Roy
Designer Rachel Roy has released her line, Rachel Rachel Roy, at Macys for the fall. The collection is less expensive and more for the edgy younger crowd. It features dresses, shoes, and accessories. I am loving the graffiti print items...mainly because it adds urban funk on a classier scale. She will be introducing her collection this Wednesday at Macys in Chicago. I will be there front row trying not to go broke snatching up a few things for myself.

Can you say Hot?!
T-Shirt and some panties on...
I love a comfy tee. One that makes a statement, tells a story, or even gives a stranger a glimpse into my personality. Junk Food brand tees rock. They last long, and provide all the above. If you invest in a good tee, 9 times outta ten, you will be able to rock it years down the line. You can dress it up or down. This fall is about rock bands, and vampires. And now Junk Food is releasing NFL tees of your fav teams. Go Bears!!! Hee hee...
